Who are your literary/artistic idols? Who do you look up to? Have you always or are they a recent discovery? Do you think they’re a good person? Does that matter? Who are they to you? What would you say if they were in front of you? What about their work excites you? How did you find out about them? Can you emulate their style?
Tell me about it through art, photography, script, poetry, essay or prose (fiction or non-fiction)

Submit all work to glassbeadscollective@gmail.com in this format: Submission: Issue, Genre, ‘Title’, Author.
Example: Submission: Issue Two, Fiction, ‘My Best Friend’, Tabitha Mullen.
A pseudonym is fine if you don’t wish to use your real name. Include your age, location and a short bio if you’d like.
The submission window is the 8th-18th of each month.

FICTION: 3000 words maximum! Include a title, word count and a short synopsis. Submissions may be excerpts of larger works, short stories, short scripts/screenplays and vignettes- whatever you like really, I’m not fussy. Attach via PDF, Microsoft Word or public Google Doc.
NON-FICTION: 3000 words maximum! Include a title, word count and a short synopsis. Submissions may be excerpts of larger works, memoir pieces, articles, personal essays, interviews, book/film/theatre reviews, diary entries, this category is very broad. Attach via PDF, Microsoft Word or public Google Doc
POETRY: 1 poem per submission! Please format the poem how you would like it to appear in regards to spacing/line breaks. Attach via PDF, Microsoft Word, or public Google Doc.
ART: 1 piece per submission! Any visual art is accepted, physical and digital, drawings, paintings, photographs, sculptures, engravings, short films, anything! Include the title and medium of the piece and a short synopsis if you wish. Attach necessary images and videos.
Submission Guidelines
All work must be your own— please refrain from using generative AI to create work for Glass Beads.
It is free to submit, but only one submission per person per issue please!
Stick to the submission window, the 8th-18th of each month! Works submitted outside of it may be disregarded.
You will only receive a response if your work has been accepted, apologies!
All rights to your work are retained by you— please let me know if your work needs to be removed from submission/the site if it has been accepted with rights elsewhere.
Please do not be disheartened if your work is not accepted- try and try and try again! I may keep works in mind for future issues, and will reach out if this is the case. I don’t want submitting things to feel scary- get your work seen!
As much as I would love to I am not able to offer any payment for submissions.
